Why is it so hard for me to lose weight?
There are lots of myths about weight gain, weight loss, and dieting. I myself have fallen for many of these myths and today, I am struggling to lose weight. It is time for a change, but maybe today is nto the day I have made a change to try to gain better health, but maybe I not focus on the right things.
Experts who work in weight loss management are well aware that weight loss is about far more than simply trying to eat fewer calories, but in practice, it is much harder than just cutting calories. I am sure like most people that struggle to lose weight that I have metabolic syndrome. The normal feedback mechanisms to stop eating just do not work in me. My willpower fails because I am up against one of the most basic drives I have to eat more and that is hunger.
This metabolic problem will not only stop you from losing weight, but it will also lead to serious health problems such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and diabetes. I am in your shoes and starting to feel the ill effects of the diseases that result at the end of my life if I do not take action. Unless you do something about it this is a problem that will get worse over time.
The bottom line: We must take action to change the path towards better health. We must solve the metabolic problem that is a metabolic syndrome or the results will be the end of our lives. Choosing better foods will result in our appetite shrinking and you will find it not only easier to lose weight but to keep it off than eating healthy. Resistance is futile but it is time to rethink what we are doing!
