Fat-free can add more fat you belly.
I remember back in the 1990s that we had a flood of fat-free products to help combat obesity. For years, our goverment and medical and nutrition experts have have sold fat and saturated fat as the cause of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. The fact is that you can’t take the fat out of your diet and magically make it healthy. The good news is this statement could not be futher from the truth.
Next time you are visiting the grocery store, look at product labels. You may think “low-fat”, “reduced-fat”, or “non-fat” are going to be your healthier options, right, but this is just nto the truth. In fact, the low-fat version may even be worse for you than the version that has higher fat. Why you might ask? The so called lower fat or heathier version often has replaced the fat with empty calories such as high fructose corn syrup or sugar. Even worse than sugar, these products also contain additives, chemcials, abd perservtives, so this makes quite the opposite true.
If these processed foods were advertised in a way to amke you think they are healthy, but is is absolutely not true. Advertisers are billiant and they could care less whether you are healthy or not. They are paid to get you to buy something that you do nto need and it not healthy at all. They are paid more if more sales are made even if you end up in an early garve. Advertisers are taught to be experts in how to get you to buy something you do nto want or need. They use your emotions and mind tricks to get you to buy their product. Just look at kid cereal. You cannot get within 50 miles of the cereal isle without your 8 year old throughing a fit if you do not buy Lucky Charms. This effect is all due to expertly placed advertisements and a product is quite addicetive.
The bottom line: Clearly, today is a time of the “fat-free” health deception. Tons of carbs and sugar that are making us fater and fater. I suggest that we ignore the folks suggesting that we skip the fat. Instead, skip the sugar and carbohydrates. If you must have the sugar pr carbohydrates, eat a smaller portion.
