Pre-Moving Day 2: Farewell Party

Progress reportProgress report

Parties are the devil’s bane!

Devil

Devil

Today was a tough day.  It is bittersweet leaving Texas.  Today, they threw a party for me at work.  At the party, multiple desserts and fried disrupt obstacle that made me eating healthy for the day nearly impossible.  You could say that the people at work love me, but you could also the day that they made a gallant effort to return me to my old pudgy self.  They would say the time and food to celebrate the past two years and my contribution to the accomplishments of the organization.  Unfortunately, all the food and deserts do not help me maintain slim self that I have built the last two years while working hard at exercise and watching what I have eatten.

Of course, I ate like a pig.  I think the key on a day like today is not to feel guilty about what you have eaten.  Guilt and regret lead to anxiety and more gluttony.  The point is to avoid the negativity and enjoy your last day on a special day at work.  I was determined to enjoy myself and not make my family of friend suffer.  I suggest that you do the same.  Two more days left in Texas and I have all of the parties behind me.  Tiem to focus on the future and avoid the negative thoughts abotu the past and any splurges of the past several days.

I weighed 207 pounds this am.  We will see how a part with multiple deserts puts a dent on that.  Wish me luck.

The bottom line:  Tomorrow and part of today are over.  Focus on the future and the present  The present and future are the only things you can change.
