Dragon Fruit Blackberry Smoothie

Dragon fruit or Pitaya is a decent source of protein and it reportedly speeds up your metabolism making it a great fruit for weight loss.  Pitaya is also high in Vitamin C which helps to boost your immune system.  The fruit is cholesterol free and high in fiber.  It is packed with B Vitamins, such as Vitamin B1, B2, and B3.  You can get Dragon Fruit at your local farmers market and other locations you can buy it in your freezer section.

Easy to make healthy dragon fruit smoothie recipe that makes a filling breakfast or snack. The colors of the dragon fruit and blackberries really complement one another.

Ingredients
  1. 1 teaspoon of dragonfruit powder
  2. 1 mediam apple
  3. 1 cup blackberries
  4. 1 cup milk or milk substitute
  5. 1 tsp of honey - more edna be added if you want it sweeter
  6. 1 cup ice
Add ingredients to shopping list

Instructions
  1. Place in blender and blend until smooth.
Notes
  1. Cook time equals blender time. Each serving has 7 grams of fiber.
