A weight loss and fitness blog that has a great list of recipes

In recent months, FitAmbitiousBlonde or Beth has liked a few of my posts so I decided to visit her site today. I spend a couple of hours today perusing the articles and recipes. Her focus is very similar to mine in that she is focusing on making changes to make a better self or a journey toward health versus my path to better health. I can say that her site has me very much impressed.

I especially like her article on Why can’t I take this weight off?! This article is a fantastic summary of the multitude of pitfalls that many of us have fallen into while trying to lose weight. If you find yourself stagnant in your current routine, stop by and take a few clicks around her site.


I have not tried any of the recipes, yet, but I find the Cauliflower Buffalo Wing Bites, which is found in her Side Dish Recipes, an intriguing thought. I am not vegan or keto but they sound great. Some of the main dish recipes are right up my alley. I especially plan to try the Vegetarian Lentil Soup which is found on the Main Dish or dinner list.

You know I am very keen on shakes or smoothies. I have published many on my site. I may disagree with the use of the Shakeology smoothie or shake mix. I order one today to try, but my concern is the amount of sugar in them. Most of the blends have 13-17 grams of carbohydrates with 4-7 grams of fiber and about 7 grams of sugar. That means that 50% or more of the carb load is sugar. The good news is nearly 50% of the calories are from protein. I will do a review of the product when it is delivered to me.

Peach Cobbler Shakeology

Beth wrote a great article on starting an exercise program slowly. The article, Who Me? A Runner?, focuses on the importance of running but also starting slowly. It is a great motivator while avoiding the injury and over-exercise bug. She has in the insight to know that exercise cannot be a one size fits all.

The bottom line: FitAmbitiousBlonde is a great example to motivate others to lose weight. She has found a diet and workout plan that works for her. It might just work for you too. She acknowledges the need for a full life including exercise and pets. The best part about beth is that she is one smart cookie and had a great grasp of including quality quotes in her blog post. I especially like the one from C. S. Lewis, above. I guess I will return to my wardrobe.
