Tip 1 Salad Dressing

[pullquote]When eating out, ask for the salad dressing on the side.  This way, you can eat only the dressing you want.  [/pullquote]Weight loss tip #1 is very simple.  Eating out is a trap for those trying to lose weight.  The foods can be high in calories and it is nearly impossible to make a good choice at some restaurants, but you can make better choices.  When eating out, ask for the salad dressing on the side.  This way, you can eat only the dressing you want.  When restaurants put the dressing on their salads, they tend to use more than a single serving and the salad is served drenched in dressing.  When diners control the dressing amount, they can choose as little they need to feel satisfied.

A basic ranch dressing contains over 250 calories in two ounces.  That calorie count is massive when compared to the calories from the vegetables in the salad. In fact, if you remove the dressings, croutons, and meat, the vegetables that are left have almost no calories.  Fortunately, there is an easy way out of this hole.

I recommend using an invention called the fork and dipping the salad in the dressing.  You will notice that you will leave about 1/2 – 3/4 of the dressing when you use this method.  You will also begin to enjoy the natural flavors of the vegetables in the salad.  I hope you find this tip helpful.  We will post a diet quick tip about twice a week.
