Weight Loss Tip 79 – Schedule Your Meals and Workouts

I am a busy executive for a major medical center. My days are full and my schedule often changes from moment to moment. I used a daily planner or Outlook to kept me organized and on time. All aspects of my life are in a constant flux and if I do not add workout and meal times to my schedule they will not happen. From meeting times to public functions, there is a constant barrage of changes that tend to extend the day. I schedule everything so that my meals and workouts happen as a part of my routine. On Sunday afternoons I’d spend some time scheduling my workouts for the week, just like I would with other obligations.
The bottom line: Scheduling your routine will make splurges less likely and will build a healthy routine.
I am a family physician who has served in the US Army. In 2016, I found myself overweight, out of shape, and unhealthy, so I made a change to improve my health. This blog is the chronology of my path to better health and what I have learned along the way.
