Weight loss is a slow process, but quitting won’t speed it up or help you reach your goal.
[pullquote]“Be the person that when your feet touch the floor in the morning, the devil says, “aww shit.. they’re up…” — The Rock[/pullquote]We all think about quitting because weight loss seems so hard. Focus on your goal and why you decided to take this quest, and you will regain your motivation. Remember, this is for you, your family, your significant other. You want to get healthier to live longer and enjoy life. Heck, lose the weight so that you will hopefully live longer and break the bank on MEDICARE and Social Security, but don’t despair, because, you have reached the point in your weight-loss project that truly determines whether or not you’re going to get to your goal and stay there. One of the factors that distinguishes success from failure is that people who are successful quit for a day or so, then get back on track. Unsuccessful people quit and never get back on track. The bottom line: Success is up to you. Picture yourself reaching your weight loss goal and keep focussing on marching forward. Quitting is for losers, but then again, dieting is the one place where winner lose.
