Proof that you can even get a healthy breakfast meal at IHOP.

Ok, color me surprised. Recently, in a moment of indecision, I gave in to frustration to let my family decide where to eat. I asked and they answered “IHOP”. I suddenly began to panic with the wonder of how the heck I was going to get anything healthy in that place. Am I going to have to eat the napkin to promote satiety? Amy I going to have to limit my self to ice water and black coffee?

The answer is surprising and “No”. You can get a relatively healthy meal at IHOP and there is more than one selection. Unlike other restaurants, there is more than one possible selection to meet your health needs at IHOP. Don’t get me wrong because you would be better off eating at home, but there are healthy options at IHOP.

I looked over the menu thoroughly and picked the Two-egg Simple & Fit breakfast. Although I chose to eat the egg whites, you could easily order whole eggs and stay below 500 calories. I was really surprised that you could make this feat. Not only that, it tasted good and filled me up.

Simple & Fit Two Whole Scramble

So what is included? The healthy version of a breakfast sampler, this dish comes with scrambled cage-free egg whites, two slices of turkey bacon, seasonal mixed fruit, and whole-wheat toast.
