IHOP: The dietary minefield has made a healthy option.
It’s easy to get into trouble when eating out but that is especially true at any place that serves as many pancake options as IHOP. I absolutely love pancakes but they do not love me. This meals choice is just one of the options you can choose off the Simple & Fit portion of the menu.
The menu items marked Simple & Fit have less than 600 calories each and while not everything is a good choice, they and better than many of the other items on the menu. IHOP also offers Simple & Fit tips to customize any order. Things such as holding the butter or whipped topping, swapping regular bacon for turkey bacon, choosing sugar-free syrup instead of standard syrup, swapping eggs for egg substitute, or skipping the cheese can make each option a little healthier.
The eggs were decent. I could have done better than bacon but any protein source in a pinch. I will try to do better tomorrow. The fruit was a fantastic addition to this meal.
