Buffets and cafeterias can be a minefield but choosing well can prevent the weight gain BOOM!

A few weeks ago, I was on a work related trip and looking for a decent breakfast. We were in the hotel and they have a breakfast bar and buffet style breakfast. I would have easily blown my health kick with unhealthy choices, but I made a decision not to do that. Sure, I could have done better but under 600 calories when it is all you can eat is not a bad feat,

The eggs were decent. I could have done better than bacon but any protein source in a pinch. I will try to do better tomorrow. The fruit was a fantastic addition to this meal.

The bottom line: Choose breakfast wisely and eat slow when going to a buffet. I started the meal with a large glass of water to promote satiety. This meal had the right mix of protein and fiber to promote satiety. Good luck with you next trip to a buffet line.
